We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician. General Purpose

  • The Quality Control Technician performs check audits on all civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical, installations are according to project specifications, and works with installers and suppliers to the correct specifications for the work or materials.  Develops Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and administers them in the field.  Maintains field documentation and reports verifications in the office.  Assists with field deviations and assist with solutions to reconcile discrepancies.


General Duties and Responsibilities


  • Works in safe manner and is especially conscious of men working below.  Is knowledgeable of all applicable workplace procedures, the five point safety system and a workers responsibility under MSHA.
  • Is qualified to inspect all materials used in the project and seeks outside expertise if required. 
  • Understands all specifications relating to the construction project and actively communicates these.
  • Reads and interprets drawings and specification documentation.
  • Understands and maintains construction schedules
  • Develops test procedures and audits their use.  Is aware of expected consumption of materials to determine where waste is occurring.
  • Prepares necessary construction and development layouts.
  • Participates actively in training programs, personal improvement, and job improvement initiatives.
  • Continually develops the ability, knowledge and skills necessary to keep up with improving methods and technology in the job.
  • Ensure that documentation is controlled and properly handled and filed for future reference.



  • Engineering Technologist or 10+ years of field/shop experience in the construction, welding, fabrication, or inspection field.

  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook required.  AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar highly recommended.
