Position:                                  Mining Engineer Project Controls Specialist


Cementation USA, Inc. seeks to fill 1 job opening for a Mining Engineer Project Controls Specialist to work in Superior, Arizona.  Duties include:  Plan and prepare mine construction sequence cost and schedule estimates.  Ensure productivity estimates are relevant; Manage and prepare contract variation reports evaluating the cost of scope changes to the contract; Manage construction schedule forecast updates, providing notification to construction managers of upcoming schedule constraints and conflicts; Prepare and circulate Request of Quotation (RFQ) packages; Obtain procurement quotations and subcontract estimates; Manage preparation of cost/benefit analyses of quotations, RFQs, and subcontract packages; Research Scope of Work estimates; Resource alternative sources and methodologies; Plan and prepare breakout schedules for construction superintendents to facilitate work planning and procurement activities; Interact with the Construction Manager and Client providing relevant cost variations and schedule updates.


WORK SCHEDULE:               40 hrs/wk (8:00 am - 5:00 pm)


JOB REQUIREMENTS:           Minimum requirements Bachelor's degree in Mining and five years of relevant work experience in the following (may be gained concurrently):  Underground hard rock mine design, ventilation, construction, and cost estimating; Project cost management & control functions in the mining industry, shaft sinking methodologies, project controls and estimating; Mining construction standards and methodologies.  In-depth working knowledge of Primavera 6 software program, specifically, managing projects, schedules and deliverables using the software.  Proficiency in building spreadsheets, reports, and in-depth formulas to manipulate mass amounts of data via Excel driven spreadsheets.  Experience using Hard Dollar estimating software.  Ability to translate data into actionable items.  Employer will accept a Bachelors of Engineering in Mining or Bachelors of Science in Mining.


Proof of authorization to accept permanent full-time employment in U.S. required if hired.
